thanksgiving table decor...

so the kids and i spent the weekend making table decor for thanksgiving. i let them choose the stamps and we got to work.

here are our place cards, mint boxes, and "mixture" treat bags:
here is my take on the ever so popular owl treat bags:

and a closeup of one of the little fellas:

my kids really loved these bags so we tweaked the original idea a bit and made them into turkeys. i let the kids do all the punching and gluing... so they are each unique and quite cute. we had a lot of fun making these and they are so excited for everyone to see them on the big day.

the mixture is a favorite of my kids...
2 parts oatmeal cereal
2 parts peanutbutter filled pretzels
1 part mixed dried fruit
1 part mixed nuts
1/2 part chocolate chips
enjoy!

teacher appreciation...

well here it is almost thanksgiving and i wanted my kids to let their teachers know how grateful and thankful they are for their diligent, patient teaching skills. here are some treats that we made for them.

for mr. d's first grade teacher
for miss thangs preschool teacher
each one has a homemade loaf of pumpkin chocolate chip bread and a cute note that my kids wrote for their teachers.

** i am so LOVING this stamp set from pti**
never have i stamped with a better set, the images are all crisp and beautiful.

supplies:
cs: stampin'up!( very vanilla, old olive, kraft) hobby lobby (brick red)

color challenge #31...

i love fall and these colors are great.
here is another challenge via the color challenge queen.

its my mom and dad's 33rd anniversary on friday... and look, now i have a card for them. minus the purple, these were my parents colors when they got married.
i used one of the pocket silhouette stamps to make a "wreath" and then cut out a circle from the middle and another from the center of the card base with my circle nestabilities. the sentiment is stamped in versa mark and then clear embossed to make it pop.

supplies:
stamps: stampin'up! (pocket silhouettes and best yet)
ink: stampin'up! (pumpkin pie, close to cocoa, elegant eggplant, and so saffron) versa mark
paper: stampin'up! (whisper white & textured close to cocoa)
misc: american craft (ribbon) clear embossing powder nestabilities

happy world card making day...

whoa was it crazy here. my friend is gathering cardsforheroes; we ended up with 70 cards when everything was said and done. here is a not so perfect photo of all the cards and my little card elves. they chose all the paper, stamps, and which MACM we were going to duplicate. my kids love MACM... we usually watch them together and try to complete one. although... most of these cards were made easier due to the 6 & 4 year old helpers, but thanks for the inspiration kristina!

babies...

are starting to pop out all over the place around here. my neighbor just had a little boy and here is the card that i made for them. i just got the polka dot basics set from papertrey ink and it is so fun. that is what i used for the baja breeze dots on the card. so cool and so many possibilities! the baby stamp is stampin up, i think that it was from a hostess or sell-a-bration set... can't remember and i never use the labels cause i am a dork.
