m.i.a....

uh hi. so i have still been sewing up a storm, but keep forgetting to take photos. i recently had a new niece join the ranks and have made some super cute things for her, but yeah no photos. i will take some because the stuff i made her was super cute and because they named her after me and she has now taken on the legendary LKB monogram and mostly because she is adorable and they are moving soon so i have to do it now.

in the meantime... here are some library bags that i made the moosentwits. dylan wanted a dragon and wren wanted some butterflies and flowers. shortly i will have some of these as well as some bigger ones up in the etsy store.

fondant and gum paste...

final cake. here is is people... i got the idea from my sushi plates. i was really happy with how this little fellow turned out. the cake underneath was a complete success too. i decided to play with some ingredients and came up with a yellow cake base filled with homemade blackberry jam and almond paste. i piped homemade cream cheese frosting with goat cheese substituted inside as well. i then made a marscapone cream cheese frosting with a hint of almond emulsion that i frosted the outside with and let me tell you it was divine. i love this cake. i had a really hard time eating it.

wilton cake decorating class...

yeah so a cute neighbor friend and i took the wilton course 1 and wilton fondant and gum paste decorating classes. they were super fun and i really want to take course 3 tiered cakes too. here are some cupcakes that we made for little misses preschool and my first fondant cake just in time for valentines day.

steiner dolls...

introducing beardo ken and john pennybones, respectively. i made these little fellows after checking out this tutorial courtesy of sooz. these little guys are so fun and my munchkins are loving them. thanks for a great tutorial, i will be making these again and again.
